After your visit, you will begin your travels from Guatemala City to the city of Coban in Alta Verapaz. You will stop for lunch at an orchid sanctuary and will enjoy a scenic drive through landscapes of tropical and clouded forest. The drive will be from 5 to 6 hours. Free evening.

As you delve deeper into this village, you'll visit a community association of farmers and explore the lush cacao plantations. Discover the secrets of cacao production from bean to bar and learn about its powerful potential to address social issues such as irregular migration and poverty. Fuel up with a delicious rustic lunch prepared by the association members before embarking on a picturesque journey to the charming town of Lanquin. Today you will make your way from Lanquin to the neighboring Semuc Champey Natural Monument. This magical natural wonder is made of a series of turquoise pools, cascading down limestone terraces that have been formed by the Cahabon River. The water is so clear that you can see the bottom of the pools, which are surrounded by lush vegetation and towering mountains. You'll be able to swim in the crystal-clear waters, hike through the surrounding jungle, and enjoy breathtaking views of the area from the viewpoint. After the visit, you'll have the option of going river tubing or exploring the K'anba caves.
